Leadlight Classes:
We have day and night classes running fairly continuously through the year, held in our studio. These are 6 two hour sessions and are for both beginner and advanced students.
We limit the class number to ten people and, as there are two of us instructing, the student to tutor ratio is obviously very good and you are assured of our best attention!
During the course beginners will learn about glass and the best techniques for cutting and shaping it, and all the basic skills required to complete a project in either copper foil (Tiffany) technique, or using lead came.
Typical first projects include lampshades, lightcatchers, mirrors, trinket boxes and small window panels. Basic tools need to be purchased before the course starts and others can be added as you need them.
Also available, is a short 2 hour course to learn basic glass cutting skills. Please ring or email for details.
We can also provide private tuition if required, at an hourly rate.

Not A Beginner? Students with previous glass experience are also very welcome and we tailor the course to fit your needs, whether it is to refresh some old techniques or just to have bench space and advice for a bigger project.
